​harvest parsnips after first frost

clear leaves from ponds
raise up containers to avoid waterlogging
​prune roses to prevent wind rock
cover brassicas to protect from pigeons
put grease bands round fruit trees to avoid moth damage
buddleia can be pruned to the ground
​lift tubers of dahlia and begonia
divide rhubarb once they're dormant
​
feed the birds
be sure to cut the grass fairly short on the last cut - this will make it easier to rake up any leaves that fall!
