HONINGTON AND SAPISTON PARISH NEWSLETTER
JANUARY 2026

PARISH COUNCIL
Please see noticeboards or the website for details of Treecycling 2026. Book your Christmas tree collection in aid of SARS, CAVRA and SERV.
The next meeting of the Parish Council will take place on Monday 12th January 2026 at 7pm in the Village Hall.
Wishing all parishioners a very happy and healthy 2026.

PHONE BOX LIBRARY
With the darker evenings, now is a good time to make use of our phone box library on A1088. Although exchanges are welcomed, please don’t feel they are essential, as we are just pleased that it is being well used.

POSTAL VOTES
Residents who applied for their postal vote on or before 31st January 2024 and wish to continue with this arrangement will need to reapply for their postal vote before 31st January 2026. E-mails or written notices will be sent to those who currently receive a postal vote.

VILLAGE HALL
Happy New Year from all the Honington & Sapiston Village Hall Committee.
We start this year with five weddings in the diary - three will have their wedding ceremony here at the hall and will be using the field at the back of the hall as part of their celebrations.
As per last newsletter we have lost the weekly sequence dance on a Monday night and are looking for a replacement weekly group to fill the space. So, if you do know anyone that would be interested, please ask them to contact me on [email protected]
HSVH committee will be having a meeting in the main hall on Monday 26th at 19.00 for update on the hall and to plan this year's events. All welcome to attend.
There will be no community supper this month due to work commitments. However, I have managed to squeeze in a Community Lunch on Thursday 8th serving Bangers and Mash or Chicken Casserole followed by Apple Pie, tea and coffee £8.00. To book your menu choices please email me [email protected] or call and leave a message on or before 3rd January on 01359 789195.
