Welcome to Honington CE Primary School
I am proud to be the Headteacher of Honington CE Primary School.
We are a small, caring Church of England school with strong links to RAF Honington, and we warmly welcome families from both our local and military communities. Our ethos of aspiration for all, alongside our Christian vision to help children live life in all its fullness, shapes everything we do.
Guided by our values of kindness, excellence and respect, we balance high expectations for learning and behaviour with strong pastoral care. We work closely with families, the church and our wider community to provide a nurturing and ambitious education for every child.

AUGUST
Honington & Sapiston Village Show
Our classrooms have been buzzing with excitement as the children have immersed themselves in a fascinating insect project. They have spent time researching a variety of insects, discovering amazing facts about their habitats and life cycles, before using their learning to inspire their own artwork.
After carefully planning their designs, each child created a beautiful canvas painting of their favourite insect, using a range of artistic techniques to bring their ideas to life. We are incredibly proud of the creativity, perseverance, and attention to detail they have shown throughout the project.
This summer, the children’s artwork will be proudly displayed at the Honington & Sapiston Village Show, giving families and members of the local community the opportunity to celebrate their hard work and creativity.
We hope visitors enjoy exploring the exhibition and seeing the wonderful talent of our young artists.

Year 6 Residential at Bawdsey Manor
Our Year 6 residential could not have come at a better time. While temperatures soar at home, we are enjoying a lovely cool sea breeze at Bawdsey Manor with PGL.
The children have been taking on their fears on the high ropes, canoeing, working together through team-building challenges and throwing themselves into every activity with real determination. They have shown courage, kindness and resilience throughout, supporting one another brilliantly and representing Honington so well.
As a school, we are passionate about giving our pupils the very best school experience that we can. If you can lend a hand in anyway - perhaps hearing children read, helping at our events or helping us paint the school (that's what the teachers will be doing in the summer holidays!) we'd love to hear from you.

JUNE
Summer term at Honington CE Primary School has got off to a very active start! As soon as the weather improved, pupils enjoyed taking on our very own climbing wall and developing their confidence and resilience outdoors.
This week, despite the rain, children have also been learning how to skateboard safely - with plenty of determination, perseverance and smiles along the way!
Of course, alongside all of the excitement, there has still been lots of hard work taking place in lessons across the school! Our Year 6 pupils completed their SATs week recently, and we are incredibly proud of all their effort, resilience and positive attitude throughout.
We are currently looking to further develop and revamp our outdoor areas and would love to welcome more volunteers into school. In particular, we are hoping to create an outdoor muddy kitchen for our children. If anyone in the community would be interested in helping or supporting this project, we would be delighted to hear from you.
