REMEMBERANCE IN THE VILLAGE
Every year on Remembrance Sunday there is a service for those from Honington and Sapiston at All Saints Church. Although there is no War Memorial in the village there is an act of remembrance with the names of all those who fell in the 2 world wars being remembered. This is followed by a further act of remembrance where a wreath is layed by a representative from RAF Honington.
Generally, because of its location in the graveyard, the wreath is layed on the front row on Sgt Murgatroyd.
There is much more information on the CWGC website where you can search locations throughout the UK to learn more
(including a mobile phone App that is useful if you are travelling)
